How to Get Beautiful, Radiant Skin At Home

Well, we have different views on what beautiful skin really means, but most of us agree that it’s a skin that has little or no blemishes, and looks lively and youthful no matter what the color or tone is. Among the sea of beauty products, you might be forgetting something important – most of these products say they are ALL NATURAL/ ORGANIC. If that’s the case then, you don’t really have to cash out your hard-earned money to get beautiful and youthful skin. Do you know that there are a lot of ingredients in your kitchen that can help repair and pamper your skin? Let’s get started!

Exfoliate!

Exfoliation is simply removing the dead skin cells and dirt from your skin. To exfoliate, most of us purchase costly body scrubs. But you can actually create a simply homemade body scrub with either sugar or salt. All you have to do is mix ¼ cup of table salt with olive oil and rub the mixture gently onto your skin, then rinse. If you feel that table salt is a bit harsh on your skin, try sugar! Do the same process; except now you mix sugar with olive oil. These two scrubs are ideal for the skin all over your body, not on your facial skin.

For your face mix ½ cup of hot water and 1/3 cup of instant oatmeal. While waiting, mix 2 tbsp of honey, 1 egg white, and 2 tbsp of plain yogurt in a separate bowl. Put together the two mixers finely by using a mixer. Once finished, apply the mixture like a face mask and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove it gently using warm water. Feels refreshing, huh?

Cleanse!

Twice or thrice a week, you want to make sure your skin is clean to the deepest layer. While you exfoliate almost every day, don’t forget to cleanse 2-3 times a week. There are a lot of commercially made cleansing face masks of varying flavours, usually fruity ones. Well, you can make one at home. Get 5 tbsp of plain yogurt and mix it with 5 tbsp of honey in a bowl. For 10-15 minutes, apply the face mask all over your face. You may also put cucumbers on your eyes to reduce eye bags and dark circles while you’re at it. If you want to make the amount of the mixture smaller or bigger, just remember 1 tbsp of yogurt + 1 tbsp of sugar, or “1:1” and you’re good to go!

Dreaming of that youthful glow on your skin? You can have a radiant skin with this home treatment: a mixture of 1 egg white, 5 tbsp of honey, and ¼ cup porridge. Yup, you read that right – porridge! This mixture will be paste-like. You’ll have to massage it on the skin using circular motions, which should take no less than 5 minutes, until 10 minutes or so. Leave the mixture on for about 15 minutes. Gently rinse with warm water. This mixture is proven effective in removing dead skin cells and blackheads, plus making your skin totally radiant
